After performing on the road for many years, and in some of the region's favourite cover bands, Andy has brought his amazing talent to the fore at URA. His guitar technique is second to none, and the student's at Up-Beat all benefit from the sessions with him. He brings a real rock and roll edge to the academy! Andy teaches our Poulton Rock Academy sessions including the Girls Rock & Adult Rock, as well as the Rock Guitar sessions.
Dave teaches Bass and Rock Academy. He started playing guitar and piano at the age of 10. A year later, he decided to pick up the bass guitar and since hasn't looked back. Thanks to his dad's musical passion, he grew up listening to Jazz and Blues. On his 15th birthday, he got some equipment so that he could start writing and recording music. Now, 6 years on, he has a studio in Lytham and has had the pleasure of working with many artists and even write/produce a charting song!
His career in performance begun in 2012 when he was given the opportunity to audition to play in the SRJ band (a newly formed party band, fronted by the son of Coleen Nolan and Eastenders favourite Shane Richie). He got the job and finished his last year of college in just 2 months so that he could go on his first national tour. Thanks to the band, he has now had the delight of working with many artists, such as Rixton, Marcus Collins, Shannon Saunders, Jake Quickenden, Nathan Grisdale and many more.
